Forest officials have started transferring nearly 300 crocodiles to allow a seaplane service to visitors in the statue of unity, the tallest statue in the world, 182 meters (597 feet).

The reptile is bigger than three meters, the crocodile is being stopped by lure in metal cages and has been shifted somewhere else in Gujarat through pick-up trucks.



A source told AFP on Friday that nearly a dozen reservoirs were removed from the number three, which were identified as a potential site for seaplane jetty.



Local forestry officer Anuradha Sahu said that the tourists' influx has increased due to "security reasons" from the state government.
